Fine Art Update: Hello, www.annanunez.co!
A couple days ago, I wrote an Instagram post about how I’m striving to share more of what simply makes me happy these days, and today I’m doing my best to put that into practice.
I recently created a new website in order to separate my work in fine art, from my beloved work in design. Although I’m continuing to develop/grow this space, with new pieces that have yet to be documented, and new ideas for collections on the horizon, I think it’s now at the point where it ought to be mentioned and celebrated in this space!
If you didn’t know this about me already, I went to college to study visual art and graduated in 2017. My focus there began with sculptural installation (any Anthro window display fans out there?!) and then landed more on painting and mixed media works on paper.
As I’ve been growing this freelance business of mine, illustrating and designing for brands, I’ve also been developing my studio art practice on the side. With only the fear of the unknown keeping me from showcasing this side hustle to my day-time hustle - I’ve finally decided to kick those fears and share what I’ve been working on and continue to work on as this aspect of my creative work and life only continues to evolve!
So this is it. This is me caring a little less today about what others might think, and a little more about what I love so much. Creating these works on paper in my spare time.
More to come (I promise). And of course, more design work is still on the horizon! I love my brands.
Cheers to a beautiful day and good things to come!
